P.I.G by Morning Star Theater (晨星劇團) tells the story of a how the inhabitants of a quiet village in the middle of a forest encounter a natural disaster and manage to pull through by pooling their resources.

Rhinoceros is an experimental theater piece by International Dateline Company (換日線劇團) that is based on the original play by the master of Theater of the Absurd, Eugene Ionesco. Like the original work, the current production is meant to be a statement about people's willingness to conform and society's inability to think rationally. It is a statement on Taiwan's political culture and the emotions that keep it running.

Hayavadana is one of Girish Karnad's most popular plays. It sees its Taipei debut performed by EX-Theater Asia (亞洲劇團) and directed by Chongtham Jayanta Meetei. With a text that begs experimentation, the plot and sub-plot intertwine to explore existential questions. The main plot follows the story of Hayavadana, a horse-headed man whose quest for wholeness underscores the play's exploration of identity and reality.

The three-day East Coast Music Festival (2007東海岸音樂季) will light up a Taitung County beach with music and barbeques during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday. Sunday's concert showcases award-winning Aboriginal musicians and bands who hail from the area, including Pur-dur, (陳建年), Biung (王宏恩), Hao-en (昊恩) and Jiajia (家家), Tseng Shu-chin (曾淑勤), and Totem (圖騰). Monday's concert is a pan-Asian reggae fest until 8pm, with Japanese reggae legend Papa-U-Gee and the Stoned Rockers Band, Coco Tabo from Okinawa, Filipino act Papa Dom and the Tropical Depression Band, and Taiwan's Red-I and the Riddim Outlawz. Indie-rock group Relax One (輕鬆玩) and Aboriginal musician Mama Panai (巴奈) will perform afterwards. Tuesday, the last day of the festival, is a nakashi revival with Fa-Li (法力樂團) and Leo Shiao Cha Kaan (留笑茶看) bands.
Admission is free. Food will be available, but to minimize the festival's impact on the environment guests must bring their own eating utensils

East Coast Jialulan (伽路蘭) Recreation Area, located off Highway 11 (台11線公路), south of Dulan (都蘭), Taitung County and north of Taitung City, near the 157.5km marker. A shuttle bus will run from Taitung Train Station to the venue every 70 minutes during festival hours and will also stop at the Fugang Elementary School (富岡國小) parking lot

Classical Music
Hsin Hsing-chwen Piano Recital (辛幸純鋼琴獨奏會). Hsin received her early musical training in Taiwan. She left at age 13 to attend the Yehudi Menuhin School in England as a protege of Baroness Fe Bland and later studied at the Royal College of Music in London. She pursued her studies in the US and received her MFA from UCLA and doctorate in musical arts from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Hsin is currently chair and professor at the Institute of Music, National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. The program of works will include Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, Lee Tzyy-Sheng's (李子聲) South Muse IIX (南。樂IIX), and Granados'Goyescas (歌雅畫景).

2007 Sung Wei-te Clarinet Recital (2007宋威德單簧管獨奏會). Sung is associate professor of clarinet in the Music Department, National Taiwan Normal University. Joined by pianist Lai Ru-lin (賴如琳), Sung will present a program of works by German and Austrian composers, including Bela Kovacs' Hommages a Bach (clarinet solo), Franz Danzi's Fantasy from "Don Giovanni" (clarinet and piano), Mozart's Clarinet Quintet, KV581 (for basset clarinet and piano), Brahms' Sonata No.2, Op.120 (for clarinet and piano), and Weber's Fantasia and Rondo, Op.34 (for clarinet and piano).
