Rather more serious problems have already hit the one-time Anglo-German production car, the Vauxhall/Opel Nova, whose name translates into Spanish as “won't go.” They may also apply to Czech manufacturer Skoda, whose name in Polish means, “What a pity.”
With such a plethora of pitfalls awaiting the unwary tourist, it has to be asked: Can you still travel safely at all? Fortunately, given the goodwill generally shown to foreigners who make the effort to try and communicate, the answer is still a resounding, “You can!”
Or, as the Dutch would say, Uw kunt.
