The biennial 2009 Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center today and tomorrow, with 680 booths showcasing leading products for the benefit of professional and business visitors.
The event, sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) and the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, is one of the leading aerospace and defense shows in the Asia-Pacific region, the semi-official Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said.
The show will also feature products from local and overseas private companies, including Taichung-based Aerospace Industrial Development Corp (漢翔航空) and US-based Lockheed Martin Corp, TAITRA said.
The MND will erect its largest-ever pavilion, which will showcase the MND’s advanced equipment for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Combined Logistics, the Chung-shan Institute of Science and Technology and its Material Production and Manufacturing Center.
The pavilion will have six sections, which will highlight weapons and equipment, simulation systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, space technology, defense technology R&D and dual-purpose technology.
