The Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in France (ªk°ê¥xÆW°Ó·|) yesterday vowed to help explore business opportunities there for France-bound Taiwanese buisnesses.
Its 14th chairman, Li Yung-ching (§õ¥Ã¼y), said at a Lunar New Year¡¦s banquet in Paris yesterday that the association this year would begin to contact Taiwanese businesses participating in exhibitions and fairs in France in order to develop business opportunities.
The banquet, which was attended by almost 300 Taiwanese businesspeople, was organized at the Evergeen International Hotel in Paris by the chamber with the Association of Taiwanese Hakka in France (ªk°ê¥xÆW«È®a·|).
Li said he hoped Taiwanese businessmen in France would function as intermediaries in order to develop business activities between the two countries.
Michel Lu (§f¼yÀs), Taiwan¡¦s representative to France, encouraged the idea and said that several Taiwanese business delegations would travel to France to attend exhibitions this year.
