Semicon Taiwan’s CEO Summit and Ecosystem Executive Summit would be expanded into a full-day event for the first time on Sept. 2, with discussions covering the technologies needed to deploy artificial intelligence (AI) at scale.
Organizer SEMI on Friday said the event would bring together executives from major global technology companies and five key segments of Taiwan’s electronics supply chain.
Google senior vice president and chief technologist for AI and infrastructure Amin Vahdat would deliver the opening keynote, his first public keynote address in Asia, SEMI said.

Vahdat is expected to outline the future of AI infrastructure and the semiconductor ecosystem from an integrated perspective encompassing custom chips, data centers and high-speed networks, it added.
The morning program, which includes the Ecosystem Executive Summit, would examine how strategic partnerships, manufacturing innovation and ecosystem collaboration could accelerate the development of next-generation semiconductor technologies, SEMI said.
An afternoon CEO Summit would focus on technologies supporting hyperscale AI development, it added.
Executives from Microsoft, Micron, Broadcom, Infineon, Meta and Nvidia would discuss computing, memory, interconnects, power, system codesign and infrastructure, and explain how those layers must evolve together to support hyperscale AI systems, it said.
The forum would conclude with a fireside chat bringing together executives representing five major segments of Taiwan’s electronics supply chain — integrated circuit design, foundry manufacturing, packaging and testing, substrates, and electronics manufacturing, SEMI said.
The session would be cohosted by Advanced Semiconductor Engineering CEO Tien Wu (吳田玉) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co senior vice president Cliff Hou (侯永清).
They would be joined by MediaTek Vice chairman Rick Tsai (蔡力行), Foxconn chairman Young Liu (劉揚偉) and Unimicron Technology Corp chairman Chien Shan-chieh (簡山傑).
The executives would examine Taiwan’s symbiotic relationship with the global semiconductor industry through past cooperation, current AI demand and future strategies, SEMI said.
They would also discuss new models of global collaboration amid growing demand from the AI industry for coordination, trust and reliable delivery, it added.
The exhibition would run from Sept. 2 to 4 at halls 1 and 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, while related programs would be held from Aug. 31 to Sept. 4.

Two Chinese suspected to have illegally entered Taiwan are being held incommunicado, the Coast Guard Administration (CGA) said yesterday, after a rubber boat was found north of the Port of Taipei last month. A delivery worker alliance and a labor union have filed criminal complaints against Uber Technologies Inc and Uber Eats Taiwan executives, accusing them of underpaying workers who handle multiple deliveries.
