Jets goaltender Ondrej Pavelec made 32 saves for his 16th win of the season, as Winnipeg moved into a tie for seventh in the West.
Washington’s Alex Ovechkin scored two goals, helping lift the Capitals to a 3-2 win at Minnesota.
Evgeny Kuznetsov also had a goal for the Capitals, who won their third straight to move into a tie for fifth in the East. Ovechkin’s 13th multi-goal game this season improved his NHL-leading goal total to 47.
