Brett Hull became the sixth player in NHL history to score 700 goals as the Detroit Red Wings beat the San Jose Sharks 5-4 on Monday.
Hull joins Wayne Gretzky (894), Gordie Howe (801), Marcel Dionne (731), Phil Esposito (717) and Mike Gartner (708) in the 700-goal club. Only Gretzky got there quicker than Hull.

Patrick Boileau beat Evgeny Nabokov high to the stick side from the right circle for his second career goal with 2:37 remaining to win it.
Hull's big goal was a one-time wrist shot from the bottom of the left circle that slipped through Nabokov's pads. Pavel Datsyuk set up Hull for the goal with a cross-ice pass.
Hull, the son of Hall of Famer Bobby Hull, went seven games without scoring after reaching 699. He had a huge smile on his face as his Red Wings teammates jumped off the bench to celebrate with him.
Kris Draper, Brendan Shanahan and Henrik Zetterberg got the other Detroit goals.
Wild 1, Flyers 0
In Philadelphia, Manny Fernandez, making his first start since missing 13 games with an injured right knee, got his seventh career shutout as Minnesota beat Philadelphia.
Fernandez, who was hurt in a match against Los Angeles on Jan. 6, turned away 30 shots.
The Wild tied a franchise-record with their 12th road victory in their 27th game away from home. Minnesota didn't win its 12th road game last year until its 68th game and 36th away from home.
In his first shutout of the season, Fernandez was rarely tested. A tenacious Minnesota defense helped send the Flyers to their eighth shutout loss of the season, the most since they were blanked eight times in 1969/1970.
Canucks 2, Blackhawks 1
In Vancouver, British Columbia, Markus Naslund's NHL-leading 37th goal early in the third-period lifted the Canucks over Chicago.
Trent Klatt scored in the second period and Dan Cloutier made 23 saves as Vancouver extended its unbeaten streak to seven games.
Mark Bell spoiled Cloutier's shutout bid with 42 seconds left, but the Blackhawks failed to catch Anaheim for eighth place in the Western Conference.
Chicago wrapped up a seven-game road trip with a 2-4-1 record and has just two wins in the last 11 overall.
SSC Napoli’s Italian Serie A title hopes suffered a late setback on Sunday when they were held to a 2-2 draw at home against Genoa, setting up a thrilling season finale with closest rivals Inter just one point behind. The hosts remain top with 78 points, holding a slim lead over Inter, who won 2-0 at Torino earlier on Sunday, with two rounds remaining. To make matters worse for Napoli, midfielder Stanislav Lobotka, struggling with an ankle injury, was forced off just minutes after the match began. Scott McTominay delivered a perfect pass into the box where Romelu Lukaku got
Harry Kane opened the scoring ahead of lifting his first career silverware as Bayern Munich beat Borussia Moenchengladbach 2-0, with veteran Thomas Mueller playing his last home game for the club. Bayern officially won the title on May 4 when defending champions Bayer Leverkusen were held to a 2-2 draw at Freiburg, but were presented with the Bundesliga shield in front of their home fans at full-time. Dripping wet after being showered with beer by teammates, Kane said the title win was “an incredible feeling,” and hoped it would be “the first of many.” “It’s been lot of hard work, a lot of
