華華：坦白說，以前我應該會說是你，但現在可能是AI。
Huáhua: Tǎnbái shuō, yǐqián wǒ yīnggāi huì shuō shì nǐ, dàn xiànzài kěnéng shì AI.
清清：謝謝你喔！其實我可以理解啦！你也每天都用AI嗎？
Qīngqing: Xièxie nǐ o! Qíshí wǒ kěyǐ lǐjiě la! Nǐ yě měitiān dōu yòng AI ma?
華華：對啊！我有什麼問題都會問問它的想法和意見，也會請它幫我找資料。

清清：呃……，我在睡覺或是在忙的時候不行啦！聽起來，AI 好像真的已經變成現代人生活中重要的好朋友了。
Qīngqing: È…… Wǒ zài shuìjiào huòshì zài máng de shíhòu bùxíng la! Tīng qǐlái, AI hǎoxiàng zhēnde yǐjīng biànchéng xiàndàirén shēnghuó zhōng zhòngyào de hǎo péngyǒu le.
華華：是啊！不過我覺得我們還是需要真正的朋友和家人，所以下班以後我們就一起去吃飯吧！
Huáhua: Shì a! Búguò wǒ juéde wǒmen háishi xūyào zhēnzhèng de péngyou hàn jiārén, suǒyǐ xiàbān yǐhòu wǒmen jiù yìqǐ qù chīfàn ba!
翻譯 Translation
Qingqing: Huahua, who do you think your best friend is?
Huahua: Honestly, I probably would’ve said you before, but now it might be AI.
Qingqing: Well, thanks. Actually, I can understand that. Do you use AI every day, too?
Huahua: Yes. Whenever I have a question, I ask for its thoughts and opinions. I also ask it to help me find information.
Qingqing: But sometimes I wonder: AI isn’t a real person, is it? How can we treat it as a real friend?
Huahua: Even though it’s not a real person, it can chat with me anytime, and it never gets annoyed with me. Can you do that?
Qingqing: Uh… not when I’m asleep or busy. It sounds like AI really has become an important friend in modern people’s lives.
Huahua: That’s true. However, I think we still need real friends and family. Let’s go out for dinner together after work.

In September 2025, Kaohsiung’s Beiling Elementary School became Taiwan’s first public Taigi (Taiwanese Hokkien) experimental primary school. Taigi used to dominate everyday speech in Taiwan, but its speaker base shrank after the promotion of Mandarin. A UK clinical trial known as “Sentinel” is testing whether a small patch of skin from an organ donor can help detect lung transplant rejection at an earlier stage. The patch is grafted onto the patient’s forearm, making it possible to monitor visible changes such as rashes that may signal rejection before standard tests do. Scientists believe the skin may show signs of rejection earlier than other organs and is easier to observe directly.
