Qingqing: Huahua, where did you buy the clothes you’re wearing? I don’t think I’ve seen that brand before.
Huahua: I came across a pop-up store by chance while shopping last month. I thought their designs were pretty nice, so I bought one to try it out. What do you think? Not bad, right?
Qingqing: It looks really good. The one you picked gives off a fresh and clean vibe. Where is this store located? I want to check it out too.
Huahua: I remember seeing it while I was shopping in the Zhongshan District. I heard that this trendy brand is quite popular among fashion-forward folks and artsy types. That’s why they also opened a store in a department store in the Xinyi District, to test the waters there as well. To attract more people, they’re even giving out free gifts with purchases during the promotional period.
Qingqing: That sounds so tempting. How long will the promotion last?
Huahua: I think it’s ending soon. If you’re interested, there’s no better time than now. But usually, the last few days of these events are super crowded, and the lines can get really long. I’d suggest going when it’s less busy.
Qingqing: Thanks for the tip. I’ve decided — no better day than today. I’ll head over to Zhongshan after work for a quick pop-in.
Huahua: Sounds good. Weekdays should be less crowded. Hope you come back with lots of great finds.

The asphalt was warm against his knees. Around him, dozens of people lay flat in the narrow street outside Jenn Lann Temple in Dajia. Some pressed their hands together in prayer. You might think knitting is only for grandmas, but surprisingly, many young people are embracing so-called “grandma hobbies.” On social media platforms, activities such as home cooking, embroidery and gardening are becoming popular among teenagers and young adults who are drawn to their relaxing and creative nature. “Grandma hobbies” typically refer to activities that are slow-paced, handmade and nostalgic. Common examples include knitting scarves, baking cookies, sewing clothes and growing plants.
