Academics suggest bailout


Hynix Semiconductor Inc, the world's third-largest computer memory chipmaker, should be bailed out a third time rather than sold in pieces because it needs only one more rescue to stay afloat, some South Korean professors and researchers said. "Hynix will have no problem remaining in business if creditors grant the company the same funding it was willing to give Micron when the US company was negotiating to take over the company," Rhee Dong-kee, a business management professor at Seoul National University.
