Nineteen illegal Thai workers were repatriated yesterday under the escort of an official Thai delegation. The repatriation was part of a humanitarian program dedicated to celebrating the 60th anniversary of the accession to the throne of the Thai king. The 19 workers, who were arrested for living in Taiwan illegally or overstaying their visas, were escorted by a Thai delegation comprised of 30 immigration officials and members of a women's association of the Royal Thai Police, which arrived in Taiwan on Monday to escort the illegals home.
