Taiwan Quick Take: Two Chinese arrested

Two Chinese nationals linked to the murder of four Taiwanese family members in Johannesburg, South Africa, have been arrested, and one of them is the victim's nephew, officials said yesterday. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs yesterday confirmed that the suspects arrested in relation to the death of the Taiwanese businessman Chen Chi-hsin (陳啟馨) and three family members were two Chinese nationals. Officials yesterday also confirmed that the prime suspect, Bao Xinlong (葆昕龍), was the nephew of Chen's wife Li Yu-guei (李玉桂), one of the four killed. Johannesburg police investigators found personal documents, including credit cards and the ownership documents for Chen's farmstead, at Bao's house, leading them to believe that Bao perhaps killed the family for monetary purposes. The murdered family had been buried at their residence and the bodies were dug out last Thursday by local police after Chen's relatives reported the family missing to local authorities.
