Taiwan Quick Take: EPA launches competition
Wednesday, Jun 07, 2006, Page 3
The Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has launched a competition seeking new ideas for conserving resources, recycling waste and reducing environmental pollution. The EPA will give cash prizes to those who come up with the most creative ways of protecting the environment, with the contributer of the best suggestion receiving NT$10,000. Individuals or organizations interested in making suggestions should present their ideas in words and pictures and submit them to the EPA's Web site at epa.e-info.org.tw by July 20. EPA officials suggest that entrants should focus on food, clothing, dwelling and transportation. The best ideas will be published in EPA manuals to help educate the public about environmental protection.
