Taiwan Quick Take: Ex-ICRT DJ dies

Taiwan radio personality Michael Joseph Ryan, known to ICRT audiences as "Michael J" died on Wednesday, March 22, at his home outside of Taipei. He was 48 years old and is survived by his wife Ruth and five-year old daughter, Serena. A native of Colorado, Ryan came to Taiwan 17 years ago by way of Canada where he worked in the music industry. At ICRT he held various positions as a DJ, music director and program director between 1989 and 2002. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, April 8, at 2pm at the Jinan Church on the corner of Jinan Rd and Zhongshan S Rd.
