Former ICRT disc jockey Charles Mack is wanted by the police for questioning following allegations that he had raped two male students after reportedly being diagnosed with a form of syphilis.
A Chinese-language newspaper yesterday published a front-page story about Mack's alleged rape of the two men. According to the report, Mack's wife had contacted the newspaper in an apparent bid to halt the spread of the disease through her husband's promiscuity.
"We are currently working with Taipei County police to locate Mack, as his registered residence address is in Taipei County. We are also checking with the Center for Disease Control to see if there is a medical record of Mack being diagnosed with the disease," said Tony Tsao (曹晴輝), director of the Foreign Affairs Department of the Taipei City Police Department.
Tsao said according to article 34 of the Immigration Law (入出國移民法), Mack would at least face repatriation if he is located and confirmed to have tested positive in the Serologic Test for Syphilis.
According to the newspaper article, Mack's wife received phone calls in October and November last year from two university students who claimed they had been raped by Mack earlier in the year.
