"One brand of Polish cosmetics, which put amber in the elements, has entered Taiwan's market. It's a great step to us. Taiwanese now can buy Polish cosmetics at some department stores," he added.
Due to SARS, all the cultural exchange plans are cut, so there is no Polish performance troupe came to Taiwan this year. However, educational exchange is increasing. Some Polish students are now studying Mandarin in Taiwan while some Taiwan students are studying in Poland. "It's a great exchange plan for both countries. Both Polish and Taiwanese governments offer scholarships to students who are from the other country. Students can learn not only languages, they can learn cultures and understand people. I ensure all of them will go back their own countries with great experience. It's an important and necessary investment for the governments," said Mr. Nowacki.
Tourism to Poland has been going up these years. There are more and more Taiwanese go to visit Poland, where is famous for its beautiful scenery and unspoiled nature. Talk about the goal of the office in the future, Mr. Nowacki answered firmly "Continue to work hard." He believes that diligence can make things different, even the change may be small at first, but at last, you'll see the improvement and creation.
