Taiwan continues to take the lead among British Council Offices in the world of education promotion. In Taiwan, The British Council has been very successful in promoting education study in the UK for Taiwanese students, said Susana Galvan, the Director Education Promotion of The British Council. The UK currently commands a 24 percent market share, second only to the US and taking a clear advantage over other competitors such as Canada and Australia. Taiwan's Ministry of Education estimates there are currently about 14,000 Taiwanese students studying in the UK.
The British Council's professional education counselors and front-line staff in both its Taipei and Kaohsiung offices have been handles numbers of inquiries. Its services have been reinforced by the implementation of a wide, comprehensive and expanding outreach program.
At this year's Spring Education UK Exhibition, students can find the whole range of courses available at British institutions from English language courses, to secondary education, vocational education, undergraduate study, Master's courses, PhDs, as well as Distance Learning program.

To contextualise this selection, the British Council has included covers from a wider range of designers. These covers include New Order -- Blue Monday, Frankie goes to Hollywood -- Pleasure dome/Two tribes and Blur -- Park life. A number of other stories are displayed as audiovisuals on monitors. These will cover such visual/design phenomenon as the evolution of the pop video, the flyer and stage screen.
Adding another layer of context are large-scale panels depicting key dates and events in the history of the British music. Admission is free.
