India’s S.S.P. Chowrasia hit top form to storm to an eight-under-par 62 for the second-round lead at the Thailand Open yesterday.
Chowrasia needed only 25 putts at the par-70 Laguna Phuket Golf Club to top the leaderboard on 12-under-par 128, one stroke ahead of Welshman Rhys Davies, whose second-round 64 included a hole in one.
India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar hit a 66, which left him in third place, a shot further adrift, while Australian David Bransdon’s 65 kept him in touch at fourth.

“I’ve been practicing my putting a lot. It was very bad the last few weeks but it’s come good,” he said.
