Two late goals from Inter Milan’s Julio Cruz and Lecce defender Andrea Esposito sent champions Inter top of Serie A at the expense of city rivals AC Milan.
Cruz’s goal gave Inter a 1-0 victory over Udinese while Esposito denied AC Milan a win in a 1-1 draw with Lecce.
The result in Milan was tough on Udinese, who were on the brink of holding out for a point until deep into injury time their defenders to a man got drawn to the near post at a corner, which was flicked on leaving Cruz free to head home.
Ronaldinho looked to have won the match for Milan when he converted a cross with 11 minutes left. But Esposito headed home a free-kick deep in injury time to spark wild home celebrations.
Napoli opened the scoring in their 2-0 defeat of Sampdoria through Daniele Mannini, who tapped home at the far post after a cross from Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Marcelo Zalayeta came off the bench to add the second, finishing off into the empty net after a shot from Lavezzi was deflected, wrong-footing goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi.
Lazio move to fourth after a 3-0 win over Siena.
Juventus are sixth after they triumphed 2-0 at Chievo thanks to goals by Alessandro Del Piero and Vincenzo Iaquinta.
Fiorentina won 2-1 at home to Atalanta.

When 42-1 underdog James ‘Buster’ Douglas shocked ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson 34 years ago at the Tokyo Dome, the result reverberated worldwide. Spectators at the 45,000-plus seater venue witnessed one of boxing’s biggest upsets as unbeaten heavyweight champion Tyson was knocked out in the 10th round by the unheralded Douglas in February 1990. Boxing returns to the famous venue on Monday for the first time since that unforgettable encounter when Japan’s undisputed super-bantamweight world champion Naoya ‘Monster’ Inoue puts his belts on the line against Mexican Luis Nery. The 31-year-old Inoue (26-0, 23 KOs) is a huge star in Japan and is just
