Zherdev leads Blue Jackets over Blues

Nikolai Zherdev scored twice in the last 6 minutes -- one on a highlight-reel move that provided the go-ahead goal -- as Columbus beat St Louis 6-4 in the NHL on Friday.
With the score tied 3-all, Zherdev swooped into the offensive zone and passed the puck to himself backward between his legs before wristing a shot from the high slot that beat goaltender Hannu Toivonen at the 5:57 mark.
The Blue Jackets won their fourth in a row at home.
The Blues had a six-game points streak come to an end.
Wild 5, Blackhawks 2
In Chicago, Minnesota handed Chicago its eighth straight loss.
Josh Harding made 41 saves and Marian Gaborik scored two goals for the Wild, which won successive games despite being outshot 43-16.
Minnesota has now won nine consecutive games against Chicago. The Blackhawks last defeated the Wild in Oct. 2005.
Islanders 5, Flames 4, SO
In Calgary, Alberta, Mike Sillinger scored twice in regulation and added another in the shootout, leading New York to a win over Calgary.
The Islanders clinched the shootout when Rick DiPietro blocked the Flames' second and third attempts.
New York has lost just twice in regulation in the past 11 games.
Coyotes 4, Canucks 3
In Vancouver, British Columbia, Phoenix handed Vancouver its first home loss in regulation since Nov. 1.
Keith Yandle and Ed Jovanovski scored 16 seconds apart on two-man advantages in the second period for the Coyotes.
The Canucks had been 12-0-2 in their previoust 14 games at GM Place.
