The Bears clinched their first victory of the CIHL season with a 6-4 defeat of the Lions.
The win came courtesy of impressive two-way play from rookie Brodie Hamilton, and a four-goal, five-point night from Mike Thorburn.
Mustangs 8, Raptors 3
Brandon Marleau scored a hat trick and added two helpers as the Kaohsiung Mustangs overwhelmed the shorthanded Raptors in their early morning contest on Sunday.
Mustangs 4, Rhinos 5
Rich Krahn's second goal, in the final minute of the game, gave the Rhinos the victory in a back-and-forth game. The Rhinos were helped by five points from defenseman Steve Clark.
Wolves 5, Tigers 6
Despite dominating play for the majority of the game, the Wolves gave up two shorthanded markers late in the game to drop the decision. Highly-touted rookie Ryan Lang had three points for the Wolves, while Murray Richardson had four points for the Tigers.
