It was the Heat's second win over Orlando in as many days, and they did it without a huge game from Shaquille O'Neal. The All-Star center had seven points and 11 rebounds before fouling out with 27.6 seconds remaining.
Dwight Howard led Orlando with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Hornets 102, Trail Blazers 86
At Oklahoma City, Kirk Snyder scored 22 points to lead New Orleans over Portland, but the Hornets lost star rookie Chris Paul to another injury.
Paul slammed into Blazers center Ha Seung-Jin with 6:17 left in the third quarter and remained on the floor for a few moments, kicking his legs in pain. Already wearing a flak jacket to protect his bruised left ribs, Paul grabbed at his left shoulder, which made contact with Ha and then with the floor as he rolled to the ground. He remained on the bench for the rest of the game. By the time he was hurt, the game was already well in New Orleans' control.
