At Minneapolis, Wally Szczerbiak scored 21 points and the Minnesota Timberwolves ended a four-game losing streak with a win over the New Orleans Hornets.

Szczerbiak has been the Wolves' leading scorer in eight of their 10 games this month. He has scored at least 20 points in each of his last six games, the longest streak of his career.

Minnesota set season bests for points allowed in a game and the first half (30).
