    Flyers soar over Ottawa as Ducks outsmart Coyotes

    Mike Knuble scored twice and Simon Gagne had a goal and an assist to lead the Philadelphia Flyers over the Ottawa Senators 5-3 in the NHL on Sunday.

    Jeff Carter and Jon Sim also scored for Philadelphia. Peter Forsberg and defensemen Eric Desjardins and Joni Pitkanen each had two assists.

    Zdeno Chara scored twice and assisted on Wade Redden's goal for Northeast Division-leading Ottawa, which won 8-0 in Toronto one night earlier.

    Hasek lost for just the second time in eight starts as the Senators suffered their first loss in five home games.

    Mighty Ducks 3, Coyotes 2

    At Anaheim, California, Andy McDonald scored two goals and Teemu Selanne added a goal and two assists, and the Mighty Ducks extended their home winning streak to five games.

    Geoff Sanderson and Mike Leclerc scored for Phoenix against Jean-Sebastien Giguere, who made 34 saves and won his third straight start.
