Pop diva Chang Hui-mei, better known as A-mei, is organizing a benefit concert — titled “Love is King. It Makes Us All Equal” — next Monday to support a draft bill for marriage equality. She has invited singers Jolin Tsai, Jam Hsiao, Show Luo, Elva Hsiao, Rainie Yang, Hebe Tien, A-Lin and Little S, as well as the band Sodagreen to join her in speaking up for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people.
Each of the singers will perform two to three songs on the night, and some plan to sing a duet together. All the incomes will be donated to the Taiwan Alliance to Promote Civil Partnership Rights, which promotes marriage equality.
The 10,000 tickets were instantly sold out within one minute, showing that the lineup of 10 stars is highly attractive, while it is also a clear voice of support for equal rights.

But some scalpers are demanding NT$30,000 (US$935.5) for tickets originally priced at NT$2,000. Issac Chen, one of the concert organizers, urges netizens not to purchase scalper tickets, which he says would be trampling over the compassion of the artists.
