Wang Lan is the ex-wife of the gangster, Chu Chia-hsun (朱家訓), the former leader of the Bamboo Union's Tiger Division (竹聯幫). "The Angel" refers to a gang of people organized by the Bamboo Union's former leader Chang An-le (張安樂).
DPP Legislator Hung Chi-chang (洪奇昌), along with some fellow party members, told a press conference yesterday that they would propose that the party's central standing committee severely discipline party members who attack Shih and his anti-Chen campaign.
Former DPP legislator Tuan Yi-kang (段宜康) said the DPP should tolerate Shih and his supporters and listen to their opinions rather than reacting against them.
However, DPP lawmakers Wang Sing-nan (王幸男) and Tang Bi-a (唐碧娥) both said yesterday that they would mobilize supporters to protest against Shih's campaign.
