The Taipei County Government has teamed up with the Tourism Bureau to promote this year’s hot spring festival, which will take place at hot spring resorts in different locations around the county.
In conjunction with the festival, which began yesterday and runs to Dec. 20, two free weekend shuttle bus routes will be provided, giving tourists the opportunity to enjoy hot springs found in two very distinct environments in Taipei County, county tourism officials said.
According to the officials, a bus route in the North Coast Scenic Area of the county will link hot spring resorts in the coastal township of Jinshan to the famous rock formations found at Yehliu Geopark.
Those wanting to travel inland can visit resorts on a route around the mountainous Aboriginal township of Wulai (烏來), located in the south of Taipei County.
Sixty restaurants and hotels are taking part in the festival and will offer special deals throughout.
The officials also said the water at all participating hot spring facilities had passed safety tests conducted by the county’s Public Health Bureau.
A one-day trip to hot spring resorts along the North Coast Scenic Area will be operated from Monday to Friday at a cost of NT$399. The price will include a voucher for use at a hot spring facility.
As part of this year’s Jinshan, Wanli and Wulai hot spring festivals, organizers have also put together a gold award worth NT$50,000, which can be won by collecting stamps at participating hot springs, the organizers said.

A report by international financial services firm Baird said that Asia semiconductor supply chain talks suggest that the US government would
