AC Milan scored three times in five astonishing second-half minutes as they hit back from two goals down to beat visiting Serie A leaders Juventus 4-2 on Tuesday, the first points dropped by the Turin side since the season restarted last month.
Juve appeared to be cruising to another win when Adrien Rabiot put them ahead with a solo goal two minutes after the break and Cristiano Ronaldo added a second with a typical effort, his 26th league goal of the season.
Yet Zlatan Ibrahimovic pulled one back from a penalty in the 62nd minute, Franck Kessie equalized four minutes later and Rafael Leao put them ahead one minute after that, as Juve astonishingly collapsed. Ante Rebic completed the scoring.

Despite the defeat, Juve, on 75 points, stayed seven clear with seven matches to play after second-placed SS Lazio earlier lost 2-1 at lowly US Lecce. Milan climbed to fifth with 49 points, although they are still 14 points adrift of the top four.
It completed a remarkable four days for Milan, who beat second-placed Lazio 3-0 away on Saturday and were widely reported on Monday to have agreed terms for German coach Ralf Rangnick to replace Stefano Pioli next season.
“I’m not thinking about August, I’m thinking about the next game against Napoli,” Pioli said. “I like being with my team and whatever will be, will be. I’m not worried about my future, I just want to finish the season well.”
After a relatively uneventful first half, Juve broke through in style as Rabiot collected the ball just inside his own half, powered through the Milan midfield and fired past Gianluigi Donnarumma.
In the next attack, Juan Cuadrado launched a long ball upfield. It flew over two Milan defenders who collided to leave Ronaldo with a free run on goal, and the Portuguese duly placed his shot past Donnarumma.
Yet it all changed after Milan were awarded a penalty with the help of a video assistant referee review after the ball hit Leonardo Bonucci’s elbow and 38-year-old Ibrahimovic converted.
A quick exchange of passes on the edge of the Juve area finished with Kessie sidestepping Bonucci to slot the ball past Wojciech Szczesny, then Leao collected a loose ball and found a gap between the Polish goalkeeper and the near post for Milan’s third.
Juve were denied an equalizer when Donnarumma made a one-handed save from Daniele Rugani’s header, before Rebic fired Milan’s fourth to complete their win.
Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri said that there was no point dwelling on their loss.
“I think our first 60 minutes were world class. We were in total control and had this blackout,” Sarri told DAZN. “There’s not even much use thinking too much about it, because we have another game in three days.”
“Sitting here trying to over-analyse it or put ourselves on trial could be counterproductive and make us lose all the good work we’ve done so far,” he added.
MARRED FINAL: As most of Senegalese players walked off the pitch after a controversial decision, some supporters threw objects and attempted to get onto the pitch Senegal on Sunday won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) as Pape Gueye’s extra-time winner sunk hosts Morocco 1-0 after a chaotic final that saw the eventual champions storm off the pitch late in the game. Brahim Diaz could have won the trophy for Morocco with a controversial spot-kick in the 24th minute of added time at the end of normal time as ugly scenes broke out in the stands. However, Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy easily saved the weak attempted “Panenka” chip by the Real Madrid winger, who was clearly distracted by the long delay that followed the penalty award.
James Harden on Friday scored 31 points and came up big in overtime to help the Los Angeles Clippers erase a double-digit deficit on the way to a 121-117 NBA victory over the Toronto Raptors. Harden scored 16 points in the fourth quarter and overtime as the Clippers pushed their wining steak to five games despite the absence of star Kawhi Leonard with a sprained right ankle. The Clippers trailed by 11 entering the fourth quarter, but Harden drilled a pair of free-throws with 1:24 left in regulation to tie it and after misses from both teams, they went to

I might not be showing much emotion yet, but it’s there, deep down. We are so happy to win,” al-Attiyah said at the finish. Al-Attiyah, at the wheel of a Dacia, only had to avoid a final day slip-up to top the podium after bringing his career tally of stage wins to 50 on Friday. Tobias Harris on Monday scored 25 points as the Detroit Pistons held off the Boston Celtics to score a 104-103 victory in their top-of-the-table Eastern Conference showdown. Harris was one of four Detroit players to finish in double figures, with Jalen Duren adding 18 points and point guard Cade Cunningham scoring 16 points with 14 assists. The win sees Detroit extend their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference to 31-10, 5.5 games ahead of second-placed Boston, who fell to 26-16 with the defeat.
