Coming off a two-goal performance, including an overtime winner, in the Blackhawks’ 3-2 win over the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Panarin was again the difference in the second game of the back-to-back.
He scored the clincher on Wednesday with a shot from the right circle at eight minutes, 56 seconds of the third period.

Special teams were the difference as the Montreal Canadiens edged the New Jersey Devils 2-1 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
Max Pacioretty and Torrey Mitchell scored for Montreal (23-16-3) while Adam Henrique replied for the Devils (20-16-5).
Goalie Mike Condon stopped 19 shots for the Canadiens, while counterpart Cory Schneider made 23 saves for New Jersey.

Bo Horvat scored his second goal of the game on a power play with 1:06 left in the third to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes.
Horvat took a pass from behind the net from Sven Baertschi and snapped a shot past Carolina goalie Eddie Lack.

Leafs goalie Jonathan Bernier tied a season high with 39 saves for his second shutout while Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau scored two goals to lead Toronto to a 4-0 rout of the Ducks at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Gabriel Landeskog scored at 4:44 of overtime as the Colorado Avalanche beat the St Louis Blues.
