Michael Cuddyer hit for the cycle, including a two-run double in Colorado’s five-run eighth inning, as the Rockies beat the Cincinnati Reds 10-5 on Sunday to complete a doubleheader sweep.
Colorado won the opener 10-9 when Drew Stubbs capped a five-run ninth inning with a three-run homer off J.J. Hoover (1-9).

Cuddyer tripled in the first, homered in the fifth and singled in the seventh while becoming the seventh Rockies player to hit for the cycle and the first since Carlos Gonzalez on July 31, 2010, against the Chicago Cubs.
Cuddyer’s second career cycle came in his second game back after he was sidelined by a left-shoulder injury.
Milwaukee slugger Jonathan Lucroy equaled a season high with five RBIs, including his first home run in more than three weeks, as the Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-2 to complete a three-game sweep.
Wily Peralta (15-7) tied Johnny Cueto and Adam Wainwright for the major league lead in victories, allowing five hits in six scoreless innings. The right-hander is 6-1 with a 1.79 ERA in his past seven starts.
Carlos Gomez hit his 20th homer, helping the Brewers maintain their three-game lead over St Louis in the National League Central.
In Atlanta, Justin Upton hit a two-run homer as the Braves ended Jon Lester’s seven-game winning streak with a 4-3 win over the Oakland Athletics.
Oakland’s Nate Freiman hit two homers, giving him three in the series, but Mike Minor (5-8) allowed only two other hits in seven strong innings.
The New York Yankees downed the Tampa Bay Rays 4-2 after Hiroki Kuroda pitched neatly into the seventh inning and Brett Gardner drove in two runs.
Kuroda (8-8) retired 17 straight batters after allowing consecutive one-out singles to Ben Zobrist and Matt Joyce in the first. He gave up two runs and four hits in 6-2/3 innings.
Kansas City’s Alex Gordon, Salvador Perez and Josh Willingham homered as the Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 12-6 for their 20th win in their past 25 games.
Kansas City sent 11 batters to the plate and scored seven times in the second, keyed by two-run singles for Alcides Escobar and Nori Aoki. The Royals also increased their AL Central lead to 1-1/2 games over Detroit, who lost 8-1 to Seattle.
In other games, pinch-hitter Scott Hairston drove in Jayson Werth with a game-ending sacrifice fly as the Washington Nationals edged the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-5 over 11 innings, the Baltimore Orioles defeated the Cleveland Indians 4-1, the Seattle Mariners trounced the Detroit Tigers 8-1, the Miami Marlins downed the Arizona Diamondbacks 10-3 and the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-2.
Starlin Castro hit a tiebreaking homer on the first pitch of the ninth inning to lift the Chicago Cubs over the New York Mets 2-1, the St Louis Cardinals edged the San Diego Padres 7-6, the Texas Rangers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 3-2, the Chicago White Sox beat the Toronto Blue Jays 7-5 and the Houston Astros were 8-1 winners over the Boston Red Sox.
