Taiwanese tennis star Hsieh Su-wei has entered Wimbledon’s Last 8 Club, the winner of two Grand Slam victories announced on Monday.
In a photograph posted on her Facebook page, Hsieh showed off a card signaling her entry into the exclusive cub, which honors players who have reached the quarter-finals of the singles, the semi-finals of the doubles or the final of the mixed doubles.
“The coach gave me a surprise after I came back from a shopping trip — the membership card of Wimbledon’s Last 8 Club. Love it,” Hsieh wrote on Facebook.

Hsieh and her Chinese partner Peng Shuai claimed the women’s doubles title at the French Open last month and the duo are the reigning champions in the women’s doubles at Wimbledon.
Taiwan’s Lu Yen-hsun became a member of the club ahead of Hsieh, having been admitted after he reached the quarter-finals of the men’s singles in 2010.
