Andre Iguodala hit a three-pointer at the buzzer and David Lee scored 23 points as the Golden State Warriors extended the NBA’s longest winning streak to eight games with a 101-100 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
Stephen Curry added 22 points with nine assists and Klay Thompson 21 for Golden State, who recovered from a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to get back in the game and extended their road winning streak to five straight.
Iguodala was inbounding the ball with 2.8 seconds left near the Hawks’ bench and had Atlanta center Pero Antic defending him when he passed the ball to Curry near the half-court line.

Shelvin Mack was guarding Curry closely enough that Iguodala moved a few feet inside and was open when Antic moved up to help Mack close space on Curry. Iguodala took Curry’s bounce pass, squared up and hit the game-winner as Jeff Teague made a frantic attempt to disrupt the shot.
Elsewhere in the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers lost point guard Chris Paul with a separated right shoulder, but hung on to beat the Dallas Mavericks 119-112, the Denver Nuggets stopped an eight-game losing streak with a 111-108 win over the Memphis Grizzlies and the Toronto Raptors won their fifth-straight game by beating the Washington Wizards 101-88.
Paul was tripped by Mavericks guard Monta Ellis while dribbling around a screen in the third quarter. The team said he would be out for three to five weeks.
DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin combined for 10 points on a 16-2 game-closing run to wipe out a seven-point deficit in the final four minutes. Both players finished with 25 points. Jordan had 18 rebounds, while Griffin added 15.
Dirk Nowitzki was a game-time decision with a sprained left ankle, but hit six of his first seven shots and had 14 points at halftime on his way to 24 for the Mavericks.
Denver’s Ty Lawson scored 18 points, including a key three-pointer with less than a minute to play, to help the Nuggets end their season-high losing streak.
Lawson also had 12 assists for the Nuggets, while Kenneth Faried and Timofey Mozgov added 16 points apiece.
The Atlantic Division-leading Raptors improved to 16-15, the first time since January 2010 their winning ratio has been above 0.500 at least 30 games into a season.
DeMar DeRozan scored 20 points and Kyle Lowry outplayed John Wall with 19 points and 11 assists for Toronto.
Wall was limited to 11 points and six assists after scoring at least 20 in eight-straight games.
Meanwhile, the injury-riddled Los Angeles Lakers cruised to a 110-99 victory over the Utah Jazz playing with their 18th different starting lineup of the season.
Pau Gasol had 23 points and 17 rebounds and Kendall Marshall, the 14th player to start a game for the Lakers overall, finished with 20 points and 15 assists in 40 minutes — all career highs.
The New Orleans Pelicans edged the Boston Celtics 95-92, but lost reserve forward Ryan Anderson after he collided with Gerald Wallace early in the fourth quarter and was taken from the court on a stretcher. The Celtics said a preliminary diagnosis indicated a “cervical stinger.”
Anthony Davis had 23 points and nine rebounds and Tyreke Evans scored 16 points to lead New Orleans.
Houston’s James Harden scored 37 points and Aaron Brooks made a pair of free throws with 17 seconds left to lift the Rockets past the New York Knicks 102-100.
The Knicks had a chance to tie it at the end of the game, but Iman Shumpert missed a shot before Andrea Bargnani grabbed a rebound and dished it to Beno Udrih, whose running jump shot rolled in and out of the basket at the buzzer.
