The domestic cricket season is set to wrap up in style this weekend with the second Chunghwa-PCCT Champions Trophy in Taipei.
Organized by the Pakistan Cricket Club Taiwan (PCCT), the tournament features eight teams and will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Shezi Baseball and Softball grounds (社子島棒/壘球場) off Tonghe W Street, Sec 2 (通河西街二段) beside the Tamsui River.
The eight teams will be split into two groups for a 12-over round-robin qualifying stage.
Group A will feature the PCCT, Taiwan Southerners Cricket Club (TSCC), Taipei Cricket Association (TCA) and Tainan Swingers, while group B contains the Formosa Cricket Club (FCC), Pakistan Badshahs, Indian Cricket Club and new boys the Hsinchu Scunners.
Play gets under way on the two grounds at 9am on Saturday with the TCA playing the Swingers, while the ICC take on the Badshahs.
After the final group games are played on Sunday morning, the semi-finals will see the winners of each group play the runners up from the other group in a 14-over match.
The 16-over decider will commence at 3:30pm, with the champions expected to be crowned around 6pm.
