Werder Bremen moved two points behind Bundesliga leaders Schalke on Sunday with a 1-0 win over FC Nuremberg.
Swedish substitute Markus Rosenberg, who had only come on five minutes earlier, backheeled a goal in the 75th minute after Naldo's shot had hit the post.
Bremen, the league's highest-scoring team, won the battle against the club with the meanest defense.

"We knew it would be a tough match, but it was an important and deserved win," Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf said.
All four Bundesliga title contenders won over the weekend, leaving Schalke with 56 points, Bremen with 54, VfB Stuttgart with 52 and Bayern Munich with 50.
Bremen defender Per Mertesacker left the field late in the game with an injury the club said could be serious.
Nuremberg were dealt their fifth loss of the season but the sixth-place club didn't lose ground in a bid for the UEFA Cup. Leverkusen, a slot above, were beaten 4-1 by Bochum.
Fanis Gekas scored his league best 15th and 16th goals in the 22nd and 90th minutes. Bochum's other scores came from Karim Haggui's eighth-minute own-goal and Anthar Yahia in the 16th.
Leverkusen' goal came from Stefan Kiessling in the 62nd minute.
