Biron extended his personal and franchise-best winning streak and became the first goalie to win 11 in a row since New Jersey's Martin Brodeur in 2001.
Maxim Afinogenov, Thomas Vanek and Daniel Briere also scored to help the Sabres run their winning streak to four. They have won 13 of their last 16 games.
Jere Lehtinen, Steve Ott and Stephane Robidas scored for the Stars, who had their five-game winning streak snapped.

In Anaheim, California, Francois Beauchemin had a goal and two assists to help the Mighty Ducks end Tampa Bay's five-game winning streak.
Zenon Konopka and Todd Marchant scored second-period goals for Anaheim.
Rob Niedermayer added an empty-net goal in the waning seconds as Anaheim also managed to halt Tampa Bay goalie John Grahame's personal winning streak at nine.
Anaheim goalkeeper Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 22 shots in the victory over the defending Stanley Cup champions, giving up Vaclav Prospal's late goal after allowing a goal by Brad Richards early in the second period.

In Los Angeles, Brian Sutherby scored the tying goal midway through the third period with Washington down a man and Jamie Heward added his second power-play goal of the game with 1:03 left.
