Richie Sexson hit a three-run homer and Raul Ibanez added a solo shot in a four-run first inning Tuesday, lifting the Seattle Mariners to a 5-3 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
Still battling the flu, Sexson returned Monday after missing a three-game series in Chicago.
"The first at-bat he felt decent," Seattle manager Mike Hargrove said. "After that, he absolutely went down the tubes."

Jamie Moyer (3-0) gave up three runs and five hits in six innings, moving within two games of passing Randy Johnson (130) for the most wins in Mariners' history.
"They made some good defensive plays and scored some runs early, which was nice," Moyer said of his teammates. "The Angels are a good ballclub. They kept inching back and inching back."

In Arlington, Texas, Pedro Astacio pitched eight shutout innings for his first win in nearly two years, and Oakland rookie Joe Blanton's outing was ruined by a couple of grounders.
Astacio (1-1) scattered six hits for his first win since May 22, 2003. Francisco Cordero worked the ninth for his major league-leading sixth save.
Royals 6, Indians 5
In Kansas City, Missouri, Alberto Castillo hit a game-winning homer off Arthur Rhodes with two outs in the ninth inning to lead Kansas City over Cleveland.
Mike MacDougal (1-0) pitched one inning for Kansas City, which outhit Cleveland 15-14. Rhodes (1-1) took the loss.
Orioles 8, Tigers 4
In Baltimore, Brian Roberts kept up his surprising power surge with a three-run homer, and Miguel Tejada and Rafael Palmeiro added solo shots to lead Baltimore past Detroit.
Sidney Ponson (2-1) allowed four runs and nine hits in six innings for the Orioles.
Nate Robertson (0-2) gave up six runs and seven hits in 3 1-3 innings.
Devil Rays 6, Yankees 2
In New York, Eduardo Perez hit two home runs off Randy Johnson, and Tampa Bay ended an 11-game losing streak at Yankee Stadium.
Hideo Nomo and three relievers limited the Yankees to nine hits one night after they battered Tampa Bay for 20 hits and 19 runs, its most runs in nearly three years.
Nomo (2-1) pitched on three days' rest and allowed six hits over 5 2-3 innings.
Johnson (1-1) struck out eight in 7 1-3 innings, and Jason Giambi hit his third homer of the season.
Blue Jays 4, Red Sox 3
In Boston, Corey Koskie singled home the go-ahead run in the ninth inning with his fourth hit, and Roy Halladay pitched eight strong innings as Toronto edged Boston.
Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz homered for Boston, while Koskie and Vernon Wells went deep for Toronto.
Keith Foulke (1-2) allowed four baserunners in the ninth. Boston put two men on in the home half before Ramon Vazquez flied out to center.
Halladay (3-0) allowed three runs and four hits while throwing 99 pitches. Miguel Batista worked the ninth for his fourth save.
White Sox 3, Twins 1
In Chicago, Paul Konerko hit his major league-leading seventh home run for Chicago and Orlando Hernandez pitched six shutout innings to help beat Minnesota.
Hernandez (2-1) scattered 10 hits and escaped several jams, including two with the bases loaded and one out. Damaso Marte got two outs for his first save.
Radke (1-3) pitched eight innings, allowing three runs and 11 hits.
David Wright hit a grand slam, Jose Reyes and Victor Diaz each homered twice and the New York Mets hit a team-record seven home runs in a 16-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.
"I didn't know what was going to happen with the ball," Reyes said. "Then I saw home run."
Mike Piazza and Doug Mientkiewicz also homered, and Wright and Diaz each went 2-for-4 with four RBIs for the Mets, who stopped a two-game skid. The seven homers were only five short of New York's season total coming in.
"We got some balls up in the air and drove it pretty good," Mets manager Willie Randolph said.
Victor Zambrano (1-1) was the beneficiary. He went six innings, allowed four runs and hit a stand-up triple.
Vicente Padilla (0-1) gave up five homers and eight runs in three innings.
Dodgers 8, Brewers 6, 10 innings
In Milwaukee, Milton Bradley hit a two-run homer in the 10th inning, and Los Angeles rallied from a six-run deficit to beat Milwaukee and extend its winning streak to seven games.
Giovanni Carrara (2-0) pitched a 1-2-3 ninth, and Yhency Brazoban finished for his third save.

In Washington, Brian Moehler earned his first major league win in 2 1/2 years, and Carlos Delgado hit Florida's first homer in six games to beat Washington.
In sweeping a two-game series at RFK Stadium, the Marlins joined the Nationals atop the National League East at 8-6.

In Pittsburgh, Matt Morris breezed in his first start for St. Louis since offseason shoulder surgery, limiting Pittsburgh to one run and four hits in six innings.
Jim Edmonds homered for the second consecutive night and Larry Walker and Albert Pujols each drove in two runs as the Cardinals outscored the Pirates 18-2 in the two-game series.
Morris (1-0) struck out seven and walked one before leaving after 71 pitches.

In Cincinnati, Corey Patterson, Michael Barrett and Derrek Lee hit solo homers as Chicago split of the two-game series against Cincinnati.
Mark Prior (2-0) gave up four hits and an unearned run in seven innings, striking out six.

In San Diego, Brian Lawrence threw eight strong innings, and Geoff Blum and Ramon Hernandez each drove in two runs for San Diego's win over San Francisco.
Lawrence (1-2) retired his last nine batters and held the Giants to two runs and six hits. He struck out two and walked none.
Trevor Hoffman pitched the ninth for his second save in three chances.
