Jamie Moyer pitched seven shutout innings to power the streaking Seattle Mariners to a 4-0 blanking of the Philadelphia Phillies on the first night of Interleague play Tuesday.
Seattle (38-18) won its seventh straight game and now has the best record in the major leagues. Philadelphia's three-game winning streak was snapped in the first-ever contest between the two teams.
Moyer (9-2) allowed four hits while striking out eight and walking none to win his sixth consecutive start. Shigetoshi Hasegawa tossed a scoreless eighth inning and Arthur Rhodes pitched the ninth to complete a six-hitter.

In Cincinnati, Juan Castro's two-out single in the bottom of the ninth inning handed the Reds a 4-3 victory over the New York Yankees.
Chris Reitsma (4-2) pitched two perfect innings for the win. Antonio Osuna (1-2) gave up a run on two hits in 2/3 innings.
Cubs 3, Devil Rays 2
In Chicago, Sammy Sosa of the Cubs was ejected when umpires found illegal cork in his shattered bat during the 3-2 triumph over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Sosa broke his bat in the first inning on a grounder to second base with Chicago runners at second and third.
But the Cubs rallied to win, Troy O'Leary scoring on a wild pitch from Al Levine (2-2) in the bottom of the ninth. Mike Remlinger (4-0) tossed a scoreless ninth for the victory.
Angels 15, Expos 4
In San Juan, Jeff DaVanon homered twice and local hero Bengie Molina and Garret Anderson both had four hits, including home runs, as the Anaheim Angels pounded out six homers and 22 hits in a 15-4 rout of the Montreal Expos.

In Miami, Mike Lowell hit two three-run homers as the Florida Marlins destroyed the Oakland Athletics 13-2.

In Atlanta, Andruw Jones hit a pinch-hit, two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to rally the Braves past the Texas Rangers 6-5.

In St Louis, Edgar Renteria and Tino Martinez both drove in three runs to power the Cardinals to an 11-5 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.

In Denver, Juan Uribe hit a pair of two-run homers in his first game since breaking a foot in spring training as the Colorado Rockies beat the Cleveland Indians 7-3.
