Allan Houston added 20 points for the Knicks, who shot 52 percent. Antonio Davis had 23 points and 12 rebounds for Toronto, which fell to 8-28 on the road, while Vince Carter added 21 points.

In Denver, Dirk Nowitzki and Nick Van Exel scored 24 points apiece as the Dallas Mavericks opened a four-game road trip with a 108-96 victory over the Nuggets.
SuperSonics 82 Suns 73
In Phoenix, Rashard Lewis scored 25 of his 29 points after the break as the Seattle SuperSonics handed the Suns an 82-73 defeat.
Ray Allen added 23 points for Seattle, which won for just the third time in 11 road games.
Stephon Marbury totaled 22 points and 10 assists for Phoenix while Shawn Marion had 15 points for the Suns, who tied their season low in scoring.
Jazz 96 Celtics 91
In Salt Lake City, Matt Harpring made two big baskets in the final minute to lead the Utah Jazz to a 96-91 victory over the Boston Celtics, who struggled down the stretch en route to their season-high fifth consecutive loss.
The Jazz were clinging to an 89-88 lead when Harpring drained a jumper from the right side with 48 seconds left. After the Celtics came up empty on the ensuing possession, Harpring hit a tough runner in the lane to all but seal the win.
Harpring finished with 25 points and Karl Malone scored 19 for the Jazz, who have won four games in a row and six of their last eight.
Utah moved one-and-a-half games in front of the Los Angeles Lakers for sixth place in the Western Conference.
Rockets 108 Clippers 90
In Los Angeles, James Posey recorded a season high for the second time in as many weeks, scoring 23 points to lead the Houston Rockets to a 108-90 victory over the Clippers.
With Phoenix losing to Seattle, the Rockets moved a game ahead of the Suns in the race for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot. Houston is one-and-a-half games behind the seventh-place Los Angeles Lakers.
