According to reports, Lee, a painter who mostly sleeps inside his car, brutally beat Lin with the martial arts weapon in an attack that lasted for less than a minute.
Police say the beating was captured on video by the security camera of a nearby pool hall, and Lee was arrested shortly after the incident. According to reports, Lee said the victim was probably drunk on the night of the attack and kicked Lee's car when passing by. Lee reportedly said yesterday that he beat Lin in order to "teach the victim a lesson."
Police say the video of the beating was extremely violent, with the suspect repeatedly striking the victim with the weapon several times from behind.
According to police, Lee, in an earlier incident, also attacked another man with a pool stick, nearly killing him.
