How: Carry a schedule and record all your thoughts, conversations and activities for a week.

The project is on schedule.
the course of a day 一天的時間
Why: This will help you understand how much you can get done during the course of a day and where your precious moments are going.
The course of a day這個名詞片語指的是一天的時間,這是針對時間的一種說法,後面a day也可以換成a month或是a year,主要強調這段時間的過程。
he insurance covers you if you are injured in the course of your employment.
During the course of the morning, I learned from the teacher’s elaboration that I have to score 700 on the TOEIC test in order to pass the course.
Why: You’ll see how much time is actually spent producing results, and how much time is wasted on unproductive thoughts, conversations and actions.
unproductive (adj.)這個單字來自productive(有成果的、有產能的)。
a. how much time is spent producing results
b. how much time is wasted on unproductive thoughts
The strategy proved unproductive.
How: Take five minutes before every task to decide what result you want to attain.
Why: This will help you know what success looks like before you start.
How: Take five minutes after each activity to determine whether your desired result was achieved.
Why: If not, what was missing? How do you put what’s missing in your next call or activity?
task (n.) (v.)
Employees eligible for the position are expected to multitask.
1. Financial analysts advocate that balancing the needs of producers and consumers is ________ crucial as increasing the supply.
(A) as (B) so (C) too (D) very
2. It is assured that with Mr. Longfield, such a credit line should be a ______ investment for the company.
(A) confident (B) protective (C) sound (D) shaky

Undersea cables are conductors wrapped in insulating materials and laid on the seabed. Their main functions are telecommunications or power transmission. The core of the undersea cables used for Internet signals is optical fiber, using light to transmit Internet signals. Taiwan’s communications are currently handled by 10 domestic undersea cables and 14 international undersea cables. About 99 percent of Taiwan’s Internet bandwidth relies on undersea cables, making them Taiwan’s “digital lifeline.” The demands on the cables’ bandwidth are only set to increase with the development of artificial intelligence (AI), which relies on the data fed into it. Today, data is
Street lights are often taken for granted until a power outage plunges the world into darkness. When that happens, the value of these lighting installations becomes evident as the world turns into a more dangerous place for pedestrians and motorists alike. The Chinese could claim to be the first to have constructed a crude type of street light. Around 500 BC, residents of Beijing employed a type of street lamp that used hollow bamboo pipes and natural gas vents to create burning torches. Later, ancient Romans adopted lamps fueled by vegetable oil, which relied on slaves to light and
Recent events in Taiwan have highlighted the contentious nature of “priority seating” on public transportation. Incidents, such as passengers experiencing emotional distress after being compelled to give up their seats and elderly individuals attacking others after being refused a seat, have prompted a national reassessment of this policy. Some voices in Taiwan now advocate for abolishing priority seats to prevent such conflicts. This issue is not unique to Taiwan. In South Korea, where respect for the elderly is deeply ingrained, priority seating has led to similar confrontations. Younger passengers often face accusations of disrespect if they do not yield seats. In
In the 5th century B.C., the playwright Sophocles begins Oedipus Tyrannos with the title character struggling to identify the cause of a plague striking his city, Thebes. (Spoiler alert: It’s his own bad leadership.) (Joel Christensen, “Plagues follow bad leadership in ancient Greek tales,” The Conversation, March 12, Spoiler alert: It’s his own bad leadership.(破梗:領導無方)。 Humans are always blaming the gods for their suffering, but they experience
