The first volunteer service program organized by the Tainan City Youth Volunteer Center took place on Monday last week, with volunteers going to Jiangong Elementary School in Cigu District to run a three-day broadcasting camp. The children were transformed into little radio announcers who created broadcast scripts that introduced local features of Cigu, such as milkfish, black-faced spoonbills, wetlands and the salt mound. The camp gave the schoolchildren a happy start to their winter holidays.
One of the children, Lee Yi-yun, chose Cigu’s delicious foods as the theme for her broadcast script. She said that Cigu’s seafood is fresh and tasty, with pan-fried milkfish stomachs, baked oysters, baked cyclina clams and oyster omelets all being fine local delicacies. She especially recommended oyster soup as an excellent formula for maintaining a beautiful complexion. She said she hoped tourists from other places would go to visit Cigu and boost the local economy.
The camp was planned by the Chun Yi Foundation’s volunteer team from Radio Victory. Linking the concepts of broadcast and reading, they designed a study course that teaches in a fun way and encourages diverse reading. It teaches children to create radio scripts around a theme of local features, thus strengthening schoolchildren’s ability to express themselves through the spoken word.

台南市青年志工中心首場志工服務上週一在七股區建功國小舉辦三天的廣播營。小學生們化「聲」小小播音員，創作廣播稿，介紹七股虱目魚、黑面琵鷺、濕地、鹽山等在地特色，展開快樂寒假。
學生李奕昀以七股美食為口播稿主題，她說，七股的海產鮮美，香煎虱目魚肚、烤蚵仔、烤赤嘴仔、蚵仔煎等都是不錯的在地美食。而她特別推薦蚵仔湯，因為是養顏美容的聖品。希望外地遊客多到七股來玩，繁榮地方經濟。
營隊由勝利之聲廣播公司的「俊逸聲力軍」志工隊規劃，將「廣播」及「閱讀」做連結，設計課程，寓教於樂，推動多元閱讀，以在地特色為主題，創作廣播口播稿，並強化學生口語表達能力。
