A woman has posted a dating message on Facebook, announcing that she is offering herself as a partner in a three-month trial courtship with no strings attached, with many online suitors signing up.
On the dating post she wrote, “Young woman, reaching the advanced age of 33, working as a veterinarian assistant with meager earnings but quite capable of supporting herself, with a pet cat and sugar glider possum. If anyone is interested in going on a blind date and likes pets, we can meet up and have a chat and see how things go between us, no strings attached, for the next three months, and if all goes well we can tie the knot. Those not interested in marriage need not apply.” When this was shared on Facebook it received a lot of responses.
Many online posters said they thought the part about the three-month trial courtship with marriage if everything went well was very brave and intriguing, but they were also concerned about what would happen if the trial courtship proved unsatisfactory: It’s not like they could just return the goods. Would it really be that easy to get out of it?
