In the early hours of the morning of Jan. 25, between 6:00 and 7:00am, snow suddenly fell on Hehuanshan for one hour. Renai Village police reported that accumulated snow at Wuling at one stage was between two and four centimeters thick.
The flurry of snow at Hehuanshan left tourists — who simply visited to appreciate the views — both surprised and pleased to see a gift falling from the heavens. Many tourists at Cingjing Farm, on learning that it was snowing at Hehuanshan, rushed to climb the mountain and enjoy the snow, causing a constant stream of traffic that stretched from Provincial Highway 14A all the way to Wuling, filling up the parking lot there.

Foxes are known for being cunning and resourceful, but a study suggests another surprising talent. Research from the Czech Republic indicates these creatures may use the Earth’s magnetic field when hunting.
