The hospital visit 醫院探病記
Mark and Kathleen were going to the local hospital to visit Mark’s sick Uncle Trevor. As usual, Kathleen was very excited about it. “I wonder what adventures we can have at the hospital? There must be millions of things we can do there,” she said. Mark replied: “I just want to give these flowers to my uncle then go home. I don’t want another adventure.”
As they walked through the doors to the hospital, an ambulance suddenly pulled up, with its siren wailing. The paramedics jumped out, and carried a man on a stretcher out the back. “That looks like a great job. I want to be a paramedic when I grow up,” Kathleen said.
The hospital reception was full of doctors, nurses and sick people. A man with a broken leg was walking around on crutches. “That man needs a wheelchair. Let’s find him a wheelchair!” Kathleen said as she ran off down the corridor. Moments later, she reappeared on a wheelchair being chased by a group of angry doctors. “Quick, jump on,” she said to Mark. He got on the wheelchair and together they whizzed away from the doctors.
“Kathleen, I think we should try and be sensible today. I really don’t want to get in any trouble here,” Mark said. But Kathleen didn’t agree; she was determined to have fun in the hospital. Just then she noticed a door with KEEP OUT written across it in large red letters. “I wonder what’s behind that door? Come on, let’s check it out,” she said, as she opened the door…
