Search for a Star
“Ladies and gentleman, our next contestants on Search for a Star are Mark and Kathleen!” The curtain went up and the audience started to jeer. Mark stood in the center of the stage as the angry crowd pelted him with rotten tomatoes. And then he woke up.
Mark had been having this nightmare ever since Kathleen told him they were going to enter Search for a Star, the world’s biggest talent competition. Now there were only six hours to go before their first performance.
Downstairs, Kathleen was dancing around the kitchen listening to I Would do Anything for Love, the song they would sing. “How is the world’s greatest singer feeling this morning?” Kathleen asked. “Er, I’ve got something to tell you,” Mark said. “Tell me later! The taxi is waiting to take us to the theater,” she said.
Backstage at the theater, Mark peeked around the curtains and saw the flashing lights, the band, and hundreds of people.
“Kathleen, I’ve got something very important to tell you.”
“In a minute,” Kathleen said. “I’m doing my makeup!”
Mark and Kathleen stood behind the curtain as the host announced their act.
“OK, Mark what did you want to tell me?” Kathleen asked as the curtain began to rise.
“I’ve forgotten the words to the song,” Mark said, as a tear ran down his trunk.

凱薩琳正在樓下廚房聽著他們要演唱的歌曲「I Would Do Anything for Love」,一邊翩翩起舞。

Its establishment has made invaluable historical artifacts accessible to a broader audience outside northern Taiwan, promoting the even distribution of cultural resources. By attracting tourists from all over, this initiative also boosts local economic growth. To offer visitors rich cultural experiences, the
Online retailer eBay has scrapped fees for private sellers across almost all of its categories as it attempts to keep fast-growing rivals such as Depop and Vinted at arm’s length. The move means eBay’s UK sellers no longer have to pay transaction fees, except for cars, motorcycles and other vehicles. In April this year, eBay removed fees for private sellers of pre-owned clothes, and the company said it was “now evolving the experience even further.” The site said ditching seller fees for fashion had already led to a double-digit increase in listings for popular items such as jeans, shirts and dresses, while at
