T hieves who tried to rob a police station were caught after leaving a trail of cake crumbs behind.
Sylva Police Detective Aimee Sumner said the two suspects were arrested on Jan. 6 only hours after they stole flag poles, flags and a sign during their break-in at the station in North Carolina.
"They had cake and icing all over them," said Sumner, adding that the suspects had been drinking and were seen earlier at a birthday party serving birthday cake in a restaurant.

After noticing the broken door of the police station was smeared with cake and icing, she said, a police officer followed the crumb trail out onto Main Street where he also found a lid with the same icing.
The cake and icing matched that found on the two suspects when they were later stopped.
"People saw them at the restaurant. We have a witness that saw [one of them] with our flag after the police office had been damaged," she said. "They had our stuff, and they had cake all over them."

Earthquakes are among the most terrifying natural disasters, generating massive tremors and destructive forces as Earth’s crust shudders. It’s widely recognized that there are far more right-handed people than left-handed people in the world. Being right-handed simply means preferring to use one’s right hand for tasks that involve only one hand, such as writing and eating. But have you ever wondered about the possible reasons behind the global dominance of the right hand over the left? As with many complex biological questions, multiple factors appear to be at play. First, one reason seems to be genetics. __1__ Therefore, the global dominance of right-handedness is something that has been passed down through many generations of humans. Next,
