Every now and again, the news in Taiwan fills up with stories about mad cow disease, SARS or bird flu. Now that winter is coming up, flu season is upon us. That means more stories about bird flu.
Is bird flu really dangerous to you? Probably not, unless you are always around chickens, ducks or some other outdoor bird. So far, almost nobody has caught bird flu from another person.
Are there ways you can keep yourself safer from bird flu? Yes. First, stay away from any dead birds you might see lying around. Second, cook all your chicken thoroughly. Finally, make sure to wash your hands often.
There are also ways just to stay healthy which will make it harder for you to get sick. Exercise regularly, have a diverse diet with lots of fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water and sleep about nine hours a night.

But while last year’s event was a celebration of the post-ChatGPT AI boom, executives this time are likely grappling with the uncertainty of the Trump administration’s effort to reshape the global trade order — disrupting a decades-old model for tech manufacturing. This year’s exhibition will of course feature the hardware required to bring artificial intelligence to life.
For many people, allergies are an all-too-familiar annoyance. The constant sneezing, itching, and watery eyes are just a few clear signs of allergies, which is a surprisingly common condition affecting millions worldwide. However, in individuals with allergies, the immune system mistakenly identifies certain substances, called allergens, as invaders. This triggers a reaction, leading to
