NetValue Taiwan, a global internet research house, said online travel and tourism sites have experienced increased interest from Taiwan's internet surfers. Figures for the second quarter of 2002 shows that an increasing number of visitors have visited these Web sites over the past twelve months, the company said in a statement.
Among the numerous sectors of the cyber-economy tracked by NetValue, the travel sector registered 1,827,400 visitors in the second quarter of this year, an increase of 1.7 percent from 1,104,500 in the same period last year. Among the travel-related Web sites that attracted the largest number of surfers from Taiwan in June 2002 are eztravel.com.tw, liontravel.com.tw, and ezfly.com, it said.
