NOT IN MY BACKYARD

A demonstrator protests outside the Finnish embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Tuesday. The protest was held against Finnish company Metsa-Botnia, which is building a pulp mill on the border between Uruguay and Argentina. Protesters fear the mill will damage the environment and hurt tourism and fishing. However, Metsa-Botnia has said that the mill will alleviate pollution by treating the sewage water of the nearby city of Fray Bentos.Aug 02, 2007
