Old becomes new
A craftsman makes a rug out of clothes at his workshop under a tent in Baghdad's impoverished district of Sadr City last Tuesday. The rug makers collect old clothes from the market and turn them into rugs after shredding them into small pieces. Each rug is sold for 5,000 Iraqi dinars or US$3.50, as the customers are mostly poor people who can't afford to buy expensive goods.Jun 04, 2007
